Installation help, compatibility answers and direct support for Acid Forever.

Install on macOS

  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Move Acid Forever.component to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.
  3. Move Acid Forever.vst3 to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3.
  4. Restart your DAW and rescan plugins if required.

Early-access downloads

The current downloads are release candidates. The Mac plugins are not Developer ID signed or notarized, so macOS may block installation or your host may refuse to load them. Contact support if this happens; do not disable your system security protections.

Windows beta installation

  1. Unzip the Windows beta download.
  2. Copy the entire Acid Forever.vst3 folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\. Windows may ask for administrator permission.
  3. Restart your 64-bit x64 VST3 host and rescan plugins.

Windows has passed automated checks and plugin validation. Windows has not been tested in a Windows DAW. Save a backup of important projects before trying the beta.

Compatibility

The Mac version requires macOS 11 or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel Macs, and an AU or VST3-compatible music host.

Tested on Mac in Ableton Live, Logic Pro and LUNA. The Windows beta is x64 VST3 only, not for 32-bit hosts or Windows on ARM.

Before writing

Confirm you are using a supported 64-bit host, restart the host after installation, and try a full plugin rescan.
